Marks and Spencers: Advertising and promotion
When M&S was named as the tailor for the official Football Association suit to be worn by the England team at the World Cup tournament in South Africa, a few very special names came to mind to help launch the perfect ad campaign.
Reuniting the 1966 winners Sir Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Roger Hunt and Gordon Banks, the campaign, 'Four Legends, One Label', was developed by ad agency RKCR and was designed to work in tandem with the current footballers featured in the 'Three Lions, One Tailor' campaign.
Featured in the national press as two consecutive double page spreads, the campaign ran throughout the 2010 World Cup.
"It was great fun to meet up with Gordon, Martin and Roger," said Sir Geoff. "As soon as I read the brief, I knew it would be a great to be involved in a project with such a great fit! No pun intended!."
